Apparently I timed my order right, I got the 2L with automatic ordered. Dealer says it’s still in Final Inspection so at least it got put together before the strike started. Now waiting for Final Inspection to get completed so they can potentially ship it. However I am resigned to waiting the strike out. This time I have the luxury of not needing a vehicle to be replaced which why I ordered one.

2.0L Gas wranglers are not available to order on any trim, despite what the consumer facing website shows. This change happened a few months ago in the AUGUST allocation instructions, not directly related to the strike but potentially to increase their ability to pump out 4xe in expectation of strike. At that time, I was told to not expect it to be available to order until at least December, however now that we DO have a 30+ day strike on our hands, I'm suspicious that they may keep pushing that target back and may miss it entirely for the '24 MY.

In addition to this, dealers nationwide have not been able to order ANY gas wrangler 4-door for I think 3-4 months, while sold-orders are still open. Again, cranking out the 4xe. So if you are looking for something in-stock in a gas wrangler, it's going to get more and more slim out there due to the allocation cut, AND strike.

The auto priced at $4500 on the V6 also reflects the cost of eTorque. I don't know why Jeep isn't more clear about that.

ABoi, I have been working with Billy at Mark and he's been great. I was simply cross checking things. Everything I'm getting back from Billy is checking out 100%.

I had been trying to order a new Jeep with a manual and I ended up buying a used one I liked because of the issues with the strike and the stop sale on new manuals.

I just felt like it would be a long, long wait for a new one

This was discussed a couple years back when the cost of the transmission on the V6 models dramatically increased. The price reflected in the auto option, as manual models are not equipped with eTorque. Stellantis never broke this down for consumers, it was figured out by those on this site who were ordering.

If your look at the engine option, it will likely indicate eTorque. You can not opt out of eTorque for an ESS 3.6 if you choose the automatic.

This is always subject to the change and the whims of Jeep. ESS 3.6 availability with an auto van come and go according to chip availability.

I ordered my 2 door rubi on Friday. I originally wanted a sport S with everything but he said sport S was unavailable to order at that time but could do the Willys or Rubi. He also said V6 is the only engine he can order and he also had leather trim as a $0 upcharge for Rubi so why not :)

I'm negotiating a custom order (Sport S) from Mark Dodge

the 8 speed automatic is now priced at $4500...well above the $2500 I've seen on the Jeep Build site
I've observed FCA and now Stellantis play reindeer games with the 850RE's pricing since 2020. $1.5K, $2K, $4.5K, back down to $2K, etc.

Some of those numbers definitely had nothing to do with E-Torque, since I was periodically using the configurator webpage to build varying versions of the Wrangler. Said differently, I was careful to not select any engine that included E-Torque, since I didn't want it. On that point, I agree with the suggestion on p.1 that the auto transmission's pricing fluctuations are, at least some of the time, thinly-veiled attempts to steer the buyer toward a particular powertrain combination.

Hello experts,
I'm negotiating a custom order (Sport S) from Mark Dodge and would like to cross reference 2 items I'm being told by the sales rep. First, he said the only motor available now is the V6 and he attributed it to the strike. Second, the 8 speed automatic is now priced at $4500...well above the $2500 I've seen on the Jeep Build site and on recent speakers. Is this consistent to what you all are hearing??
Thanks,
mlatiolais
Long before the strike you could get the 2.0L in only the the 4xe.
A couple months before the strike one of the dealers here post the only combinations available were the.
2.0 4xe only
3.6 Automatic in everything else.
Strike had nothing to do with it.

Gotcha. We actually drove a 3.6 w/eTorque and didn’t even realize it until you brought this to my attention. Compared to the 4 banger turbo it seemed anemic.
We are going to wait for the turbo 4 before we order.

I think I'm going to the same. Either that or wait for some of the dealer inventory to come down considerably $$.

Unless something has changed, ETorque is not on the 2024 3.6L Auto
