Literally nothing said to or about me bothers me. I don’t give two shits about any opinion that I don’t ask for.

I merely pointed out the hypocrisy of preaching “save the environment” while driving the least environmentally friendly Jeep on earth.

Like it or not, not everyone buys a hybrid to save the earth, and the OP clearly stated why he chose the model he did, and it had nothing to do with what your common sense dictates.
You definitely sound triggered..

You’re saying the opposite of Jeep marketing. So in your world the 4Xe is a gas hog and my 392 I guess would be the greenie vehicle of choice. I like your thinking. You should run for governor of CA.
Jeep marketing for 4XE

“Forging a green path to the future.”

https://www.jeep.com/wrangler/4xe.html
Since when anyone over the age of 8 believe in marketing?

Jeep has always claimed the extreme of their products, and have penalized owners for pushing the extreme.

Couple that with the government bribing you to buy a gas guzzler with some electric range, it should be a red flag.

The Wrangler is a niche vehicle, and the 4xe is even more niche.

Buying something because of the manufacturer marketing material, greased with government propaganda, and outright bribes, is a sure sign you are making a huge mistake.

Luckily for us Americans have overwhelmingly rejected EVs.

That said I almost never use gas, and I find my 4xe to be the best of the 6 Wranglers I have ever owned over 30 years.

Not to feed the troll, but the 4xe can be running and Park in electric mode. This issue is that after 30 minutes it automatically turns off.

Not that it matters why OP wants to do it, it's nice to be able to do with the dogs in the Jeep when it's warm to keep some climate control available, or if they want to listen to some tunes.

There are other reasons to consider the 4xe, especially when we picked ours up. The 4xe upgrade was basically free and comes with significant power benefits compared to the base engine options.
What are you calling a "4xe upgrade " ?

The cost/different parts from the 2.0T -> 4xe
I was genuinely asking, because subjects of this nature are usually/can be based on opinions, so I was looking for more specific examples.

Does cost equal an upgrade because it's cheaper... Or ?

I always thought the engine(s) were very similar, are there different parts that you are referring to that you consider upgraded ?

It's really in the transmission, but, yes the electric motor. The 4xe has a significant power boost over the 2.0.

I basically looked at the 4xe as a powertrain upgrade. On it's face, that upgrade is way too much, but with the available $7500 credit, I decided to take the power.

Hitting the switches for doors off mode wont help. It's being in Park that causes the issue. If we're being somewhat silly, set parking brake, transfer case in neutral and transmission in drive? Maybe you'll have the highest mileage 4xe soon.

Update: I tried disconnecting the wiring harness on the two front doors of my jeep. It idled for at least an hour without shutting off. Next, I’ll try and see if it works by just disconnecting the driver side harness.
