I mean I've read it before, FCA Stellantis, Jeep sells like 300,000 units worldwide, Fiat sells like 1,000,000 units worldwide. Pretty obvious who the breadwinner is no matter how much people hate on them!

Who wants a cheap simple vehicle to get you from point A to point B?

Who wants an overpriced vehicle that breaks a lot to get you from point A to point B?

Man that's a tough one!!

Some Q2 results:

American Honda - 356,457 units
Stellantis - 346,793 units
Subaru - 169,447 units
GMC - 159,585 units
Volvo - 149,299 units
Tesla - 149,200 units
Jeep - 147,147 units
Ram - 105,594 units
VW - 100,612 units

American Honda outsold Stellantis N.A.

Jeep is now being outsold by Subaru, GMC, and even Volvo, with VW closing in.

Tesla outsold both Jeep and Ram, despite Tesla's own 14% decline.

Yup, Stellantis now looks like a "European" automaker through and though.

Sad.

Unfortunately it's still not cheap enough.

Jeep Renegade base cost: $29,000
Fiat 500 base cost: $21,000

I don't know about you, I'm not going to spend $30,000 on a shitty square box, but $21,000 isn't a bad deal for a shitty square box.

Wranglers are made in America.
Jeep is no way should sell Honda,GMC,Volvo,Suburu numbers.
As this is a Wrangler forum the only cross check of sale numbers you should do are Bronco sales.
Tesla is parking their unsold units by the thousands in empty lots across the country hiding the fact that sales are down 50% just to keep the stock high. A literal scam.

I agree with pricing trends. I bought my new Rubicon X 4 weeks ago and got $9800 off list, plus received $31,500 for my 2018 Rubicon.

Also interesting in that Jeep's Average Transaction Price was up 4%, to $54,787. Based on other info I've heard, this is exactly the strategy Stellantis Is taking going forward - "we really don't care how many vehicles we well, we want to make as much money as possible on the units we do sell."

And their quality continues to plummet - I heard firsthand recently that a brand new Grand Cherokee with 7 miles on the odo was found to be missing a rocker, and now requires a new cam to be installed. It was caught on the initial PDI so it never got to a customer . . . .

Not only that but Jeep is a stand alone marque even if if is part of the Stallantis conglomerate, and the numbers listed are not dis-similar to other stand alone marques on that chart.

Except the sales that are quoted for the rise add up to just over 1000 units, 887 for Alfa, and 163 for Fiat(North American sales)

Speaking of Jeep quality: there is an shocking number of Jeep WL-L (2022+ Grand Cherokee L) sitting on competitors' lots around here. The Nissan dealer has five; the Toyota dealer has three; the Honda, VW and Honda dealers have 1 each.

That is a lot of WL-Ls that have been traded in for something else in this small market.

I don't know what the underlying cause is, but it is certainly quite strange for vehicles that are only 1 or 2 years old.

I get that. But it is quite telling that they are all ending up on competitors' lots. As if they are DONE with Jeep.

I'll be honest, I didn't actually read the article.

I was talking about worldwide sales.

Realistically speaking they don't currently sell the Fiat 500 in the united states. That's why I had to get the number in pound sterling and converted to USD. 🤷‍♂️

You see them in the front of competitors lots because they know they will sell them.
The crap that people traded in are in the back lot.
I like that Jeep Wranglers are a little on the high side, I got mine 🤣 and if Jeep goes under tomorrow my 2021 will be my last car regardless.
