Steering Wheel Tilting

[GP Wrangler JL]

Hello Jeepsters. I have a 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL...The steering wheel goes in and out but does not tilt up nor down. Mechanic says the steering colom is all one piece and not allowed to tilt. Does anyone know if this can be replaced, in order to allow for tilting? If so, what part exactly?

Do you not have a lever on the left side of the wheel down on the column housing?

You really need to look for a better mechanic. Yours tilts from factory. If it isn't tilting, something is binding it.

Any "mechanic" who sees the telescoping feature and still thinks it doesn't tilt, well, he needs to find a job that's better suited to his skills.

It should move out and back as well us up and down when the lever is released as shown in lalalofsky's pic. The up and down motion is not really a tilt.
