I know there is a lot of info out there including TSBs.
However I am looking to see if anyone has had an issue where they cannot turn the adjuster on the aluminum steering gear ( not the lock nut).
I have had people tell me to use a torch to heat it up but on the 2.0, there are a lot of tubes and wires in that area (assuming there is not on the 3.6?). So that is a no go.
So, I'd rather torch my entire vehicle than to take it to my two closest dealerships. So apart from me pulling the steering gear only to find out I still cannot adjust it, anyone have any pointers. It feels like it is internally seized.
Also, do we know how many of the steering gear part numbers cross over between different configurations; 2dr vs 4dr, 2.0 vs 3.6, etc.?
