And holy hell the corrosion is worse than I thought. All 4 doors, hood and tailgate are going to be replaced due to corrosion. They also found corrosion in other places on the body and there's also paint cracks near the taillight. My JTR cost nearly 15K to repaint and they didn't replace any body parts except for the hinges, I think she got me beat. The body shop manager said he is getting a lot of 2023s coming in for the repair, so I have zero confidence Jeep has solved the issue.

Just called to have mine brought in next week for inspection/verification on the last (and third time) before my 5 year warranty on paint is up. Dealer which also has a body shop said they already have 2024's coming in. My blisters are along all 4 door bottoms and once checked will likely result in 4 new doors. Question is, do they need the jeep for this, or do they get the doors and prep them and I simply come in and they slap them on? Of note, this will be the first time bringing to this dealer, vs where I went the last two times, and also first time since replacement is the policy vs repair.

I have a 2018 going in for corrosion repair soon. They have to keep my Jeep for 3 weeks because they are repainting the entire exterior so all the new doors, hood and tailgate blend with the other body panels. Given that your Jeep is so new, maybe the paint color hue hasn’t changed and maybe they won’t need to blend it?????

Example of what happens when you don’t blend properly. This is a door I installed myself after ordering it online from Revemoto. It looked fine the first day bit after a few days that front door became obviously lighter in shade compared to the rest of the Jeep.

Our Jeep is black, which previous shop has said is way less work than other colors due to no blending really needed, but we'll see what this new place says.

The proper way to replace the doors is to prep the new doors, paint the hinge area, hang the doors and adjust the hinges for proper alignment then remove the doors and paint. So they will need your Jeep for the duration of the repair.

Bummer but makes sense..... Luckily this is no longer our ski vehicle (wife/kids won out on their "need" for a 3 row).

2023 corrosion already? I was almost 4 years in the winter salt before mine showed on the 2019.
