Squeaky brakes or caliper issues? Anyone else?

So I had this squeak when going slow and it seemed to come from the right side rear. When going faster than a crawl it you wouldn't hear it.

I just recently replaced the shocks and saw that the right rear was worn on the side it, the others were fine when I replaced them. I manually rotated the brake disc and it seemed fine, there was a lot of brake pad left. I for some reason thinking it was the shock so put everything back together and went for a test drive. The drive basically told me that the squeak was still there and it seems to be coming from both back sides now.

I read that Jeep has squeaking brakes but I haven't read anything about 4xe's. I doubt the xe is any different from other Wranglers but any suggestions to get rid of the squeaking?

It might be a broken brake pad clip that gets stuck that could be scraping the rotor, I don't think the clips are sold separately.

Mine had this happening when it was about 2 years+, I thought it was still under warranty, so I asked the dealership to have a look while it was in for battery recall #2.

They said they didn't see anything wrong with the brakes, but they can do a brake service on the squeaky wheel for $150, but I owe them $80 for the inspection, I was like WTF, I declined, then when I was doing the winter swap I took a look, sure enough a broken chip, $80, but somehow the ace mechanics at the dealership didn't see

Okay, so it seems that I'll take it apart this weekend and see what I can find. Did you end up buying new pads since the clips aren't sold separately?

I left it without the clip.

Mine only squeak in reverse the first time out of the garage. Have yet to find the cause.

Mine is when I'm going forward without any throttle or brakes applied. Low speed and it's embarrassing...haha. But mostly when cold, after driving for a while it doesn't do it, but sometimes it will.
