Yeah OK, but I did pay for that feature to work.
Both totally valid - I didn't really know it was a feature until I found it in the menu, but since it's in there it should probably work. I did have that in a car a while back and hated it, mostly because in that car there wasn't much cabin noise so it wasn't really necessary. But on a Jeep it would be awesome!

Doesn't make a difference in my vehicle either.

So, similarly, if you adjust the NAV Guidance volume level, it resets when you next start the Jeep?

I don't notice a difference either like I do in my van. Curiously today though I had the volume around 15 and had to make a panic stop on the freeway and the volume auto adjusted itself down to like 5. Go figure.

I guess not.
Hi Snayte,
We understand your concern. We recommend having your dealer look into this for you. Also, you can send us a private message and we'll gladly look into this as well to see if there's anything we can do to help on our end.

What's the dealer going to do though, other than say they don't know? If we are all having this problem, a dealer isn't going to fix it?

I'm not really thrilled in that response. Mine doesn't do anything, but in my Grand Cherokee (which is older) it does. It's not a huge deal but for the price tag attached to a JLU, I'd like to see functional features.

Well, I must of got lucky as the speed volume system works in my 2019 Sahara. At highways speeds I had the setting set at "3". I went into the settings and pressed the "1" setting and the radio sound dropped significantly. So I tried the "2" setting and it got louder. Then I pressed the "3" setting and it got louder again. When I slow down at stop signs the loudness drops to match the speed very well. I just wanted to point out that not all of the speed volume systems in the JL are defective.

Hi TaxPhan,
Since we are not trained technicians, we are unable to determine if this feature is operating as designed. The next best step would be to visit your dealer so they can properly inspect your vehicle and determine if this needs to be looked into further. If you decide to go this route, let us know and we'll also have a case escalated in your behalf.

@JeepCares I will report this to the dealer when I get an opportunity but there are several of us here reporting the same problem. I was wondering if you could weigh in on whether there is a TSB or something for this issue. It does not sound like anyone with an 8.4 radio has this feature working.

I have the 8.4, and I know mine works, but it is very subtle compared to the overall road noises, so It is often unnoticeable, especially with the windows open.
