There was a massive back order. I finally found some and got them yesterday. 1 of the rear shocks has some oil in the bag from either leaking are something. Box was not damaged. So I called Teraflex and they said that can be normal. I Will compare movement to the other rear before I install and that said they could rebuild if it seems a seal is busted. I also wiped clean and seeing if there is further leakage.

Anyway Does this seem normal that this can happen may be with altitude change in shipping and final seals seating correctly?

Look for Opinions.

Thanks

It's not normal for a shock to leak, even at higher elevations. If the shock was not assembled properly something could be causing it to leak OR there could be residual oil that was not cleaned up when the shock was put together. Like you mentioned, best to clean it as best as possible and just keep an eye on it.

So I called Teraflex and they said that can be normal.
If Teraflex confirmed it could be normal, nothing anyone says on here is going to change that.

I'd clean and install the shock, then check on it after a few miles.
