Sound coming from Jeep

Anybody happen to know what’s causing this sound? It only happens when I’m backing up and turning the wheel. It’s been going on for a while. The dealership also hasn’t been able to figure it out since it doesn’t make the sound when they’re checking it.

Your referring to the whine? That's normal - its the electric power steering.

Yeah no luck sorry. I hear nothing but a diesel motor and electric power steering.

All I hear are typical diesel noises and gravel. If you ain't got no other problems, let 'er be.

If you're really neurotic, retorque all arms, bars, bushings, joints and check again.

Are you talking about the sound hitting about the 3 second mark and up to about 7 seconds. It almost sounds like grinding?

It sounded like a tire rubbing on the plastic inner fender liner…but my hearing is going.

Yes most ppl saying something about diesel but it’s not a diesel

Most people are saying it sounds like a diesel because it sounds like it's detonating...detonation is precisely how diesels work (ignition by compression)...but on a gas engine detonation like that is EXTREMELY NOT GOOD. If it really sounds in real life like it sounds in that video, you need to cease driving and get it to a good shop pronto.
