That is just one more thing that JSCAN allegedly/claims it can deal with/do but cannot.

At least if ZAutomotive lists a feature in their instructions, in their advertising... the feature works. Not so with JSCAN, as many times JSCAN says doable and that is not the case.

You can go here and JSCAN Tech in Poland, Grzesiek Wilku Wilczek questions in regard to JSCAN: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2582861995366601

Just re-read my post above... Do know that I am a JSCAN fan as well as a Tazer JL fan. I am very familiar / have used both.

These days, I even talk of using both concurrently.. as for some guys/gals, there are advantages to doing so.

Yeah i asked on their Facebook page and just got the same answer.
I have both i just wanted the jscan to handle as many changes as possible.
I stopped using the tazer because i thought that caused my battery to drain 1 day however never was able to pin point it was indeed the cause.
Thanks for the reply, I'll hook my tazer back up and use that for the upcoming trip cause the live features are great.

I caution you in regard to the Tazer JL, "Set In-Motion Nav" feature..

Absolutely make sure you turn off "Set In-Motion Nav" when you stop for the night, arrive at your destination and park, etc.. You want to do this as per Tazer JL instructions.

Set In-Motion Nav, if left on, say on a JL parked for the night, will likely see the owner facing a no start situation in the morning, due to battery depletion.

"Set In-Motion Nav" a terrific feature but can cause UCONNECT to turn on/repeated reboots while the JL is turned off just sitting there/parked..... and this drains the battery(s).

Yes, in 2018 I had this happen (had no start due to depleted batteries when I was 400 miles from home) and was the one that contacted Joe at ZAutomotive and made him aware of this shortcoming. In closing, Set In-Motion Nav is a terrific feature, just remember to turn it off if not using.

well thats the info i was looking for, not really worth the risk and i will just have the girlfriend use her phone or mine for the google maps.

so with the jscan to use the live features on there i would have to keep the obd plugged into the giant red cables connected to my sgw extension cables?
the main reason for the live features is 2wd swaybar disconnect and rear locker control.

--------------

If your Tazer JL is hooked up, you can if you want, use your Tazer JL with your Bluetooth Scan Tool that you plug into the OBD2 port for JSCAN duty.

You do NOT need the red, cable Adaptor for Chrysler 12+8 cables, as your Tazer JL would be doing security gateway bypass duties for both the Tazer JL and your Bluetooth Scan Tool you plugged into the OBD2 port to use.
