Soft Top Question

Hey guys! I am having an issue with my soft top. I cannot get ot to stay in the sun rider position. When I unlatch the two front latches and go to lift up, the entire soft top starts folding down from the back. I have only had this jeep for about a month, and have previously had it in the sun rider position. Any idea how I get the rear latch to stay put? Hope this makes sense!

@Sunshineandjeeps83 I believe you may have to check if these are in the locked position.
However, as you can see by my picture I haven't installed my soft top yet and can't actually verify that for you haha. Hope this helps!

Is your top sailcloth? Has it detached from the top frame/structure? Hopefully I’m wrong, but your description is eerily similar to the same problem a buddy of mine had last summer.

Is your top is sailcloth? Has it detached from the top frame/structure? Hopefully I’m wrong, but you‘re description is eerily similar to the same problem a buddy of mine had last summer.

I don’t think it has detached. All of the hardware moves, it just moves when I haven’t released the beck latch yet.

I checked those this afternoon and one was locked and one was unlocked and I haven’t touched them. I hope I didn’t break anything the one time I’ve taken the top down!

Lock them both and maybe push up a little on the back of the top to make sure they are in fact locked. I'm sure it's fine, just look at it from the rear and make sure they're clicked in place, if that makes sense...isn't there a release at the back, above the rear window?

Yes, there is a release above the rear window. I’ll try that in the morning and I’ll let you know. Thanks!

All of the hardware moves, it just moves when I haven’t released the back latch yet.

I was going to suggest checking that particular release lever to ensure it's properly engaged (locked) when the top is fully raised. Seems like you're on the right track here. ?
