We have a 2022 2-door Willys soft top. This past weekend is the first time this year that we've opened the top the whole way back (usually, we just open the top half way). Last summer, when we opened it the whole way, everything worked fine. On Sunday, when we opened it the whole way, the slider levers on the locking mechanish would go into the "lock" position with no trouble, but neither one would actually lock. I don't recall doing anything that would have actually caused them to break. I did press firmly on the top to make sure that it was all the way in the "down" position, but no change. Am I doing something wrong, or are they both just broken inside?
thanks

If you start from Sunrider mode with the locks, well...locked, you should hear two satisfying clicks when you drop the top fully down. If you dropped the top down and *then* locked them, you won't hear the clicks, but it should still be locked. It will still have a slight amount of bounce/play.

thanks, I'll take a closer look at it tonight. we were driving on our way home from an event on Sunday when I realized it wasn't in the locked position. pulled off the road at a quickie-mart, but didn't have a whole lot of time to look at it. I may not have had it in the "lock" position when I put it down, and then, when I did flip to levers to the "lock position", may not have pressed down on the top far enough to get it to "click".
thanks for your reply though.

After sliding the levers into the locked position, I'll then pull up on the folded frame to ensure that the lock is engaged. Yes, the absence of an aural <click> can be misleading, which is why I like to physically confirm that the frame is now locked in place. ?

On my four door, most of the time, when I fold the top all they way down it will fold inwards and get in between the frame. I have to make sure I pull the top out and then it will lock down.
