Is there any way to adjust the soft top travel ? Mine gets about 2" away from the windshield and it's very tough to latch it without some sort of struggle. My wife will never be able to do it by herself.

Thanks

No adjustment that I know of.

You need to be in the sun to warm up the cloth.
Latch the front first, before you set the back corners in place.

Yes i can close it but i have to push forward a lot to have the hook engage the catch
Many people have the same concern as you with brand new soft tops. You have to give the top time to stretch and adjust. The tension will also change depending on the season and ambient air temperature.

As already suggested, let top warm up in the sun for a while. Then close the top, but latch the front before setting the back corners and even the rear window.

My JLU did not come with a soft top, so i purchased a Bestop Super Top Ultra. One of the install notes is to leave the brackets on rear slanted part of the sport cage loose until you latch the front closed, then tighten them. There is some play there, and if you do it wrong, it makes the top a lot harder to latch. Maybe check that?

It will loosen up on it's own. My wife's Rubi came with the dual top option. The first time I put the soft top on, I wasn't sure it would close. I had to make sure I did it right. Let it sit in the sun for a while. After you get it latched, leave it closed for a while. It will get better. If my wife can do it, I'm sure yours can.

It will stretch over time. I was a little concerned because once I installed a soft top on a JLU and the came back after an hour and the header was about 2" from the latches. Seems that they put the Jeep in the garage without checking the clearance and bent both of the lift arms. They had the soft top on less than 2 hours..... Also we put a Trektop Ultra on her JLUR and once it warmed up and stretched out a bit, my wife and fold the sunrider back and forth by herself.
