For Southern CA Jeep owners (Temecula area) , my experience.
1. For Towing and/or be Towed, air bags, etc, I found Camping World to be the most experience doing these kind of mods.
2. For factory 2" lift kit (Fox), the dealership took care of that mod at time of purchase. Due to lane drift problem, had to recall the steering box from aluminum to steel (free) and add a Mopar stabilizer. Kept original rims and tires. Note: Lifting kit, even if Mopar, voids some of the warrantee. Not sure, if also true, if you upgrade your tire size and rims.
3. For bolt on (mostly non-electric) mods (bumpers, racks (Gobi), head liner, winch, head light rock guards, I found 4WP took care of those needs.
4. Custom electric and non-electric work (Genesis Dual Battery, Rock lights, extra 20/30 amp ports for refrigerator/accessories, Led spot lights, Snorkel, etc) NEXGEN was great. Best labor hour charges.
5. Tintman did a great job on tinting windows (LLUMAR).
5. Of course, if handy with tools, have the time, many mods can performed by one's self. YouTube has been my friend there.
Have not found a local mechanic yet, other than the dealership. The JL is all computer controlled and still under warrantee. For routine fluid changes, Valvoline Oil Change has done the job with quick, inexpensive, reliable service.
Creative financing can be affordable with CareCare (Synchrony) 6 mo same as cash (4WP and NEXGEN). Camping World has a credit card that have promotions also. Jeep has Drive Plus Credit Card with promotions too, that can be used at the Dealership. Have now, pay later. Many places offer Military, Senior, Customer Loyalty discounts on parts.
Just wanted to share. If you have a good experience please share also. Please keep it positive. Not here to slam any shop or the dealership.
