I know not necessarily the time to look at snow tires...
Looking for a dedicated snow tire set for the rubicon with Nokian snow tires.
What size would you go with?

Looking at
285/70/17 (oem) - lt2 tires
275/65/18 32.1 - r2/3 suv tires
265/70/17 31.6 - r2/3 suv tires

Is this for NJ? You're better off getting a set of all 5 new take-offs from a factory rubicon. The K02 is mountain/snowflake rated, and is more than enough for snow in the north east.

It's for further up north during the winter months. Mostly on roads with snow/ice though. Agree that for NJ the KO2 would absolutely work.

I think the K02s would work well anywhere in the US, as we plow/salt our roads. In the nordic countries, they often have compacted snow roads all year, where true winter tires help. As for your question, I have been very happy with the General Altimax Arctics on my wife's old CRV...unstoppable in the snow, and can be studded if you want.

The KO2’s are about the closest thing to a snowtire you could find. They are phenomenal in ice and snow.

Used the bfg at, ko, ko2 for the pasy 20 years mostly in northern minnesota. Tires are great in snow and especially ice.

A dedicated winter tire will outperform the KO2 on the highway in winter conditions. The size doesn’t matter. Any of the ones you mention will do.
