Wow! I would definitely take it at a discount but not at full price.
At first I thought the same, but then started wondering why I’d give them any of my money. I bought something new and they sent me something damaged... knowingly. Who does that?

I agree. The point I was trying to make is that if they contacted me and offered a decent discount, I'd be OK with the scratch considering it is under the hood. Trying to pawn it off for full price and figuring that, at worst, if you call and complain they would offer a discount then? Bad practice.

I have and do use catch cans, does anyone know if FCA is like GM on using them under warranty?

https://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f19/gm-voids-warranty-because-catch-can-249809/
They never had a problem with it in my challenger

If someone is getting one and hasn't installed it yet could you measure the length of the hoses not including the end fittings also if you notice any part number on the fittings on the can can you share. Upr wants $60 just for the can fittings and hoses to add to a upr cc I already have.

This is awesome because I have yet to hear from them and was getting ready to dispute the charge.

My can is working well! Very thick nasty shit in the bottom. Had to scrub it out with the Safety Clean brush.

Joe reached out and said I have a new one in the way. He wants me to send the scratched one back which is mildly annoying. I've paid full price for a headache and now I have an errand to run for them.

As long as he paid return shipping...that's the price of shopping online.

Is it really? Should a buyer expect 5 emails back and forth that wouldn’t have been answered with a post on the forum then the chore of shipping a product back that wasn’t qc’d by the seller at all.

Here is a post in the “what did you do to your Jeep” thread with someone is complaining about a different QC issue with the can as well. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-jeep-jl-today.3033/page-792

I can only imagine how the guys on the forum feel who’s Jeep is giving them issues.

Your post was a complaint that you had to go to the post office and send it back...it said nothing about back and forth emails. When you buy something online and it arrives damaged, you are almost always asked to send it back. Most, but not all, stores will pay return shipping. I am not sure what more you expected. If your complaint is a lack of vendor response, then I agree. It should only take a single email describing the problem to get a resolution.
