Smittybilt xrc winch control box relocation

I tested the winch this weekend and the solenoid needs replaced, I’ve already replaced the plastic cover and 5 pin controller plug, the screws and baseplate are rust too. I find the whole thing pretty flimsy so I’m looking to put a new solenoid under the hood. The kit pricing is way high so I’ll diy with maybe a remote control, in cab control and probably the old 5 pin somewhere just incase lol. I don’t see the need for the big boxes people seem to be using.

Can’t find video or pictures of it being done on Wrangler JL 3.6. Nice to see what others learned before I start.
