As I plan to do some Towing with my JLUR, I'm in the Market for an Adjustable Ball Hitch. I saw the Smittybilt one in the Quadratec site:

https://www.quadratec.com/products/92018_0100_07.htm

Pricing is where I want to be for investing in a Ball Hitch. Adjustability is there, especially if I plan on lifting my JLUR in the future. But the only thing where I draw skepticism is the all aluminum construction, despite being Class 4 Rated.

Anybody who owns one wanna chime in on this? Or should I just consider a standard steel one instead?

I just use a cheap Reese adjustible one, but it gets up to 7.5" of drop compared to the 6" of the SB.

One thing to think about, the more horizontal length you can get the better, that will get you better spare tire clearance on trailers with short tongues.

Good to check how much drop you need now (and in the future). Comparing top of tube height now to the lowest trailer tongue height you plan to run will give you the current drop needed. Then add in the lift and half the tire height difference you may use in the future.
