I use my older model iPad and have a Bluetooth gps connected to it.

I have an iPad Mini 4 with a Garmin Glo GPS waiting for my iPad mount from 67designs.

Full iPad seems to big. This is bigger than an iPhone. Plus, I had it laying around after upgrading iPads.

iPad mini 4. I like it for several reasons. It works great in the jeep and also for my drone. It serves well as a lightweight jukebox on campouts too when blue toothed to a speaker in camp. Not sure how much longer Apple will keep making the minis with phones getting so big but if you get one I recommend getting the cellular version.

I will mount a smart tablet when I am traveling in the Jeep. Even though the Jeep will have nav, I want better nav. I wll buy the same mount that you are using.

No. It’s 3D printed for the iPad Mini. They print one for the larger iPad, but that wouldn’t help you. RAM Mounts does make an X mount that would hold a 7” tablet, though, and 67Designs makes an adapter that holds RAM Mounts.
