I have about 35k miles on my JLUR and it's all stock. I added a winch when I bought the jeep 4 years ago so there's a bit of weight on the front.

Last year I noticed a dull pop on the drivers side when turning left into a parking spot. It went away so no big deal. A year later, I would say that it's happening a bit more frequently. I don't *think * you can hear it outside the Jeep, you can just kind of feel it in the steering. I'll say that it happens more frequently now when you come to a stop and this is only when it happens. I don't hear or feel it any other time.

What do you think, ball joints?

Ball joint would be my first guess too but I would print off the torque specs, get under there check & tighten the upper and lower shock mount, LCA, UCA, SS, I would also inspect the brakes.

Thank you. The shock mount is a good check. I ended up replacing that shock last year so it could very well be it.

The brakes was also another thought too. When it gets a bit warmer, I'm going to pop the wheel off and do a thorough inspection.

What's the SS? Stainless Steel is stuck in my head and can't think of anything else. :)

Steering Stabilizer. I had a loose bolt on one and it made a clicking/rattle sound. I also didn't tighten my LCA to spec and it made an awful clicking/ rattle sound. I had my mechanic tighten them to spec, problem solved.

OK, I finally had time to take a look at it today and discovered two things.

- The passenger side brake caliper seemed a LITTLE loose. I removed the two bolts and re-torqued them.

- The track bar at the frame seemed to SLIGHTLY wiggle by hand.

This is only a guess, but I'm guessing that the track bar bushing may be on the way out. I figure if I can wiggle it by hand, the jeep can wiggle it even more. I will say that lately the steering has been a bit more jiggly than I like. Which seems to also make sense with the track bar bushings.

Everything else seemed pretty solid. Sway bars and links, ball joints, steering components, stabilizer shock, etc. Those were really the only two things that seemed odd.

Figured maybe this will help somebody else.
