I was able to find a sky one touch roof, minus wiring harness, button, and header, for my 2021 JLRU. I have the advantage of having a small shop and was able to get the wiring harness and button. I have found out that you do not really need the SOT windshield header. You can use the hardtop / soft top header just fine. Below in the pics you will notice my "normal" header. It has a place to install the SOT button already, you just need to cut it out. The SOT harness has ONE extra plug for that button. That's it. It was plug and play. Just take your time and go slow. Any more info feel free to PM me. I have 2 more of the harnesses and buttons.

This is exactly what I did when I installed mine. Also had to trim a small section where the striker bracket bolts to the top too.

Where were you able to find the sky one touch and how much did you get it for? I’ve been considering doing the same thing.

Congratulations!
No bits needed to be fiddled with in the ECU to get it to control it?

I tried to add this to my order but it was too late and really regret it! Will have to try and find a Sting-Gray thats wrecked and somehow get my hands on one after the fact.

hi I’m in the same situation. I was able to get the top for cheap but no wiring and no button. Do you have the part numbers I need to install it? Or are they the ones in the pics you posted. Any help would be appreciated

Hi,
I was able to swap my hardtop with a one touch but now the top does not open. After three dealerships and a couple body shops someone told me the module is missing. I can get it off the original jeep it came from but I don't know where it is located or if this is even the issue. Anyone know a fix?

What model is your Jeep? It was a factory hardtop, right? There is no SOT module. Depending on your Jeeps model it may be missing two wires in the dash harness that runs the top. It’s not a big deal to add them. My Sport S didn’t have them. You can pm me with questions.

Thank you for the quick reply. The SOT came off a 2020 rubicon and I put it on a 2021 Willy’s edition. We took all the wires from the original and transferred them. Do you have a model number of the two wires ?

The two wires aren’t available from Jeep, you would have to change the dash harness to get them from Jeep. Not a big deal to just add the wires yourself. They run from the connector in the A pillar down to the connector in the kick panel on the drivers side.
You have to pull the grab handle and look for wires in the bottom half of the connector, cavity 11 and 12 seen here.

Hi Greg,

Finally have some time to work on this but I have no idea what I am doing. I am calling a friend over that knows a little about wiring but he too is unclear on what to do. Can you please give me a little more detail? Really appreciate your help and time. Here is a pic of what I am looking at.

Thank you

Hi Mike,
You need to check for the orange/green and orange/violet wires in the bottom half of this connector.

You can see them in the top half in the picture. I believe they are not present in the lower half of the connector, those two wires are the open/close signal wires.
PM in bound.
