:surprised:
Safety Rule No. 1: don’t roll over or fall over into the ravine.
His rule should've been "Don't leave the vehicle on a steep trail/pass with my girlfriend in it without the wheels/tires turned, chocked, locked, bolted down, etc." :surprised:
I haven't heard how she is doing, I hope she will recover.

The “sport bar” clearly provides about as much protection as the solid roof of any passenger vehicle. Very little.

They used to be called roll bars....until Chrysler’s lawyers stepped in sometime in the late ‘70’s or ‘80’s. The 1973 CJ-5 our family bought new had the factory installed (optiosingle bar over the top with one diagonal brace on each side...and it was called a ROLL BAR.

No manufacturer uses the term “roll bar” anymore in order to limit their liability.

The folding windshield on the JL still has a fixed A-pillar exactly to maintain some degree of rollover protection when folded down. NHTSA rules automobile design, and I am thankful for it.

Countless GI’s died in WW2 due to their Jeep rolling over on them.
