Hello fellow kids!
Wanted to share a few pics of the winch powered ceiling hoist I made recently for hardtop removal and storage. I wanted a single attachment point instead of the double ones I see everywhere for simplicity, ease of use, and because due to the size of my garage I needed the top to be as close to the wall and ceiling as possible. Giving credit where it’s due, I generally followed this guy’s old post with a few modifications:

The main differences with mine are the use of Topsy’s rear glass hinge brackets in the rear and using hockey pucks as contact points in the front. I used a $60, 2000lb winch from Harbor Freight to do the work. It’s very sturdy and everything that touches the top is padded or hockey related. Happy to answer any questions if anyone wants to build one yourself.
Btw here’s the link for the Topsy brackets: https://topsyproducts.com/collectio...ducts/hinge-hoist-bracket-kit-jl-bracket-only
