Side mirror repair ?

Hey guy, someone slammed into my parked jeep. I’m wondering if I can repair the mirror unit or where I can get this specific version with blind spot + indicator. Found only one so far online for about 500€…

it’s not foldable anymore. I guess the whole mechanism is broken but I don’t know if you can take it apart or if that’s not possible without brute force.

(time to upgrade to high finder flares too)

I don't know if that can be repaired my friend. I think I would just purchase a new one. I'm sorry that happened to you. The person who hit it, didn't have the decency to stick around change insurance info or pay for the repair. I guess those days are over.

Is anything really broken? Can you verify? This is a mirror back cover and it just snaps on - that is on our North American models and we do not have the turn signal, so I am not sure if yours has any additional screws, maybe. If nothing is broken, align the cover's tabs and press it back... It should simply snap in. If you need to replace it, and your turn signal and the mirror mehanism is OK, I think the cover is around $20 on Ali-Express...

yeah the base is broken I guess. The folding function is stuck in a very unusual position and I would need a lot of force to try it to snap back into its place but I will try anyways since it seems like I’ve got nothing to lose ….



The back cover went back into place without issues so I wish it would be that easy.

Yeah, I would try forcing it back. As you said, nothing to lose, so if you decide to try let us know the results.
Also, 500€ cost for one mirror seem too excessive. If you still need to order the whole assembly, try searching this forum (I do not have handy their user handles), but there are few Mopar parts gurus here, and someone might able to help you with the part number or advice how to order the part from USA or Canada directly, and maybe the half price. The other option is car-wreck lots and you might be able to find the mirror... Good luck!

Finally managed to upload this photo…

This happened to my 2018 JL, I glued it, I think I used a plastic cement sort of glue, I didn't really need to swivel the base, and the mirror heating worked, and so did the power mirror operation.

Pull up on the mirror as you try to move it back to it’s driving position. These mirrors tend to lock in place, as they seem to be spring loaded.

Thanks so much guys. I managed to force it into place. All electronics work (so far).

it’s a tiny bit looser now than the passenger side but hey. Saved quiet some money here.

the fender will be fine. Ordered the US Rubicon fenders which I needed anyways to upgrade to 35s…

Try a salvage yard. Overseas it may not be a great option, but it’s worth a call.
