Go look at the console in other midsize trucks/4x4s, notably the new Frontier. By contrast the JL/JT has almost no storage, no flat surfaces to lay anything, and the cupholders are in a bad position. The rear cupholder is even under the lid of the storage bin partially so that it's hard to lift a large drink up out of the cupholder. Just a terrible design.
But I suppose Jeep knows this since they were asking members here what they'd like to see changed.
