Ship Mode?

Was browsing Jeeps on dealer lots and saw this... Ship Mode?! Anyone seen this before? I assume it has something to do with the state of power/electronics or some type of power limiter or maybe tracking? Just curious what would happen if you bought and wasn't cleared by the dealer?

The ship mode comes with a wench instead of a winch.

All vehicles are shipped from the factory in ship mode. They are taken out of ship mode when they are prepped by the delivering dealer.

For deep water crossings
Place JL/JLU in Run Mode (Do not press brake, as you do not want to start the vehicle)
Press Hazard Button
Press Up arrow on the Lt. side of the steering wheel and keep holding it, until at the bottom of the instrument cluster, you see the words, "Ship Mode" displayed.
