I have a 2020 JLU Sport S, 4x4 (very light) yesterday the serv 4wd light came on as soon as I put it into 4L. Felt like I was still in 4L , any diagnosis?

I have a 2.5 metal cloak lift, ARB lockers and re-geared to 4.88. I don’t think any of this should make it throw the light but hey that’s why I’m writing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Serv 4WD light could be a lot of things, from simple to major. It does mean you threw a code, so step 1 is get a code reader and find out the details.

I had the same happen to mine, mopar lift (that I did myself), 37's, took it into the dealer and they determined it to be tight wires on the FAD, which there was a TSB for and they replaced the wire loom with a longer one for free. Took them like three days but I got a free loaner. It did come on once in the two years since but cleared when I rebooted the truck so I didn't bother going back to the dealer for it. I have a feeling it's the FAD in general doesn't re-connect fast enough sometimes and can throw the error.

But, like the above guy said it could be any of a dozen or more electrical gizmos in the 4x4 system that throws the code. You've got a couple months left of warranty, why not take it in just for some peace of mind. They didn't ask me anything about the lift or the larger wheels or anything, just "yup, it's a jeep doing jeep things."
