My new 2 door sport is at the dealer.

It will be my (big) dogs vehicle.

This will be a work type vehicle so I don't want leather or other upscale festures.
Just sturdy covers to protect the seats from rips and dog slop.

Any suggestions ?

I'm going to try to not be TOO negative here, Pipila, but I would highly NOT recommend Bartact seat covers for your Jeep, no matter what you may read or hear from anyone else about them.

Last month I went through literally days and days of struggle and frustration trying to install a set of Bartact's "Baseline Performance" seat covers in my new 2022 2-door Willys Sport, only to eventually concede defeat and give up in total futility. So despite their "no refunds" return policy, I sent the seat covers back to Bartact. And just yesterday I heard back from them, that yes, they had in fact sent me incorrect seat covers, which I would not have been able to install in my Jeep.

However, I did not ask for a simple exchange of seat covers for the proper ones. And the reason for that is because, although I was not able to install the seat covers I'd received, I could see from the basic design of them, and from all the installation instructions that they sent me after I told them I was having problems, that their seat covers would not have worked for me anyway, as the only way to install and use them would demand that I never fold down the seat to move it forward, or the seat cover attachments to each other would rip or at least disconnect.

Now, this might not be a big deal for somebody with a 4-door Jeep, but for me having a 2-door, being able to have access to the areas behind the seats is imperative. So putting in seat covers that are contingent upon me NEVER moving the seats forward was a total deal-breaker. I just wish I had known that about Bartact seat covers before I ordered them. I guess all those who bestow such glowing praise on Bartact seat covers must be 4-door owners, for whom having to fold down and move the (front) seats forward is not even a possibility, much less a necessity.

Be aware, Pipila, that there are other seat covers out there that claim to fit the (front) seats in a 2-door JL, but that attach to the seats and/or to each other in a similar manner to the Bartact ones. So whatever seat covers you think you may go with, be sure to ask or find out how exactly they attach to the seats, and/or to each other.

I just can't believe that any seat cover manufacturers would make a set of seat covers with such an unacceptable limitation.

After your problem, I think I had an epiphany.

Home is Mexico and I can get a seamstress to custom make covers to do the job. And I can either use car upholstery fabric or maybe a Sunbrella fabric.

And do it for half price.

En ese caso, claro que si!

Unfortunately, I do not have that option. So now, after having looked at as many different seat covers as I could find online, I am leaning towards sheepskin seat covers from ShearComfort.com.

I have the bestop canvas seat covers, front only as I do not have the rear seat in my 2dr. Easy install, separate bottom and seat back covers. I've had them on for over a year with my fat ass getting in and out of the jeep with no sign of wear yet. I can't comment on dog wear and tear as I don't have a dog. They are water repellent, have had spills and liquid beads up nicely for quick clean-up. They have black covers and tan. I have the tan.

I chose the Diver Downs from Quadratec.
I liked the fact they have a stripe of color and are a good value, $200 for a set of 4.

They were a breeze to install. They do not impend the movement of the seat.

They come with limitations, which I understood going in. The are neoprene. Neoprene fades and rather quickly. Some will claim they give you swamp ass, but that has never been an issue for me.

Just be advise after probably 2 years they will be brownish and a pastel of whatever center color you choose.

I've had mine on since April, top open in the brutal Midwest sun all summer when it wasn't raining.

They are faded, but not embarrassingly so yet. By the end of next summer they will be tho.

But I'm OK with buying new ones then. The fit and finish is outstanding for $200.

Certainly I would like ones that lasted for years and years, but I could not find any.

These are gonna be pretty grimey by then anyway so I'll be ready for new ones.

Here's a pic I just took:

Just bought another pair for $143, shipped.
Thanks for the heads up that made me go check and squeak in on this deal.

I hope to get another year from my first set. I'll save these until needed. ?
