Satellite Radio Antenna Installation

Hi all,
I got one of these satellite radio antennas from this site and I'm looking to install it soon. The instructions are looking pretty vague however. Has anyone here done this and do you have any tips?

I did it the way this thread describes.
Works great and very easy. There’s a few of us running it this way - I have yet to hear a complaint.

I've got a soft top that I usually keep down, so im not too worried about reception problems. Do you think it'd be easier to mount it here or on the roll bar?

There’s a lot of trim to pull if you’re going to mount it on the roll bar.
I’ve done both ways and if I had to do it again, I’d put it under the cowl.
