Safe to start Jeep with UConnect screen missing?

I have a 2018 that had a badly delaminated screen, switching stations and making calls without me. I pulled it out last night to replace the digitizer but broke the screen. I got a Cuescreen overnighted but since tomorrow is Sunday it won't come until Mon or Tues. I just found out my dash lights were on all night for some reason. I taped the radio's long screws in the back to hold them, propped everything up on some pillows w/ the motherboard face down & re-connected the harness. Am I ok to start the Jeep to juice the battery with the radio connected but screen disconnected & board exposed or will that fry anything?

If I unplug it completely again am I ok to drive? I don't understand why my dash was lit up all night.
