Geez, very cool, but that looks like a nightmare to install. You must have pulled the engine, or you found some magical way of getting those in there without pulling the engine.

Would be interesting to see dyno results. Did you do one before the mods, then after the headers, and then after the intake?

Also, be super careful about wires and other things like brake lines and hoses near the headers. Everything is packed so close, and there's not a lot of airflow, so things tend to get melted. I got into the habit of wrapping everything, even if it seems like it's far enough away from the headers.

There is a install video on youtube from S&B....looks ok.

Do you have to oil this filter? Any HP gains?

Since I installed the ceramic coated headers, I notice the area doesn't get as hot as before. No need to remove the engine they only go in one way only. The RH was super easy to install but the LH well that sucker go with a twist.

I don't have a dyno on her before or after, but I will see if I can take her to my friend AWD dyno soon. All regular 392 base line should be the same.

The filter come oiled already. I am waiting for the pre-filter to come out so I can install it on the filter since it helps keeping the filter cleaner longer even on dusty or sandy conditions. I always have a spare filter on hand, so I don't have to wait after cleaning the filter.

OK, so you don't have to re-oil it at any point? I also saw on their site just now they have a dry filter option (grey colored).

Yes, you have to clean the filter at least once a year with S&B cleaning kit. Only take 5 minutes to clean it but after applying the oil you need to allow time for the oil to be soak in the filter before you can use it on the Jeep again. That is why I always have a spare clean and ready to use.

By the way since the intake come with a snap lid the maintenance will be super easy.

I believe they use K&N filters, and the cleaning kits for those are cheap and easy to get. I've bought a few on Amazon when they were on "Prime Day" sale for about $12. Now, they're about $18 for the non-aerosol version (much preferred - easier to control the spray, and the aerosol doesn't go flat).

If you look up the filter ID, you can find the pre-filter at K&N. Or, contact K&N customer service and they'll tell you what it is.

With my Kenne Bell supercharger on the WJ, it came with a "Kenne Bell High Flow Air Filter." I wanted a pre-filter, and K&N just looked up the OEM it sold to, and got me the part number. Super easy.

Weird because my understanding is S&B made everything in house. I will ask them, but I know they are super picky with all their products.

Looks like a very nice kit, and impressive air flow numbers. I was about to buy, and then I noticed it's not CARB comliant. Maybe no big deal, but I hate installing things that I need to switch back to OEM just to pass the visual part of CA smog checks. CA really sucks in that area.
