@ROK HEMI Did not know they make a larger Casita Trailer. We have the 17 footer Spirit Deluxe.

The wrangler tows it great so far. Lower gears definitely helped and we use a weight distribution hitch to help with sagging. But, your 392 would tow it no problem for sure.
My mistake, looks like all of them are the same size, I thought they made two different sizes.

We like our Casita trailer. Weighs around 2500 lbs, easy to pull and has bathroom.

We're buying an old 2002 Casita to tow with our stock 2022 JLU Rubicon 3.6 with the factory tow package.

Wondering what ball mount, anti-sway, and/or weight distribution hitch setup you use?

Trying to decide how best to pair a drop with anti-sway and potentially weight distro.

When I towed a 10K travel trailer with a Ford F350, I used a Curt hitch similar to what broncoguy posted. It worked great. The key was keeping the tow vehicle level, within 1/2". I had a reference measurement from the front fender well I used as a quick check.

Thank you @broncoguy & @LukeDagny! Much appreciated!

The sellers have a basic anti-sway setup which largely seems okay at least short term, but it doesn't have a drop on the ball mount, so worried that likely won't work with the spare tire. Seeming like the smart thing to do is to get something like you linked.

Single axles aren't as sensitive to being level while towing, as compared to a tandem axle, but you should plan on a hitch with the proper height.

We went with an Intech Flyer Pursue. Very light at 1650 lbs dry, 2200 lbs total capacity. It's a little tounge heavy because of the axle placement, but we intend to load the heavy stuff at the back. Came from a Black Series Dominator, that thing was heavy. I installed airbags to deal with that, not sure I'll need them with the Pursue, but I'm not removing them.

Hi to an old-ish thread.

We use a folding A-frame trailer. Folds down for better fuel efficiency and hardly any effects from cross winds and semis. Folds up for standing room. Small fridge because of limited height, but it's a 3-way and you can switch manually from outside. Sink drains into a tub outside. Hot water heater, though. Storage is only under seat and in the walkway. Added a porta-potty and some curtain dividers into 3 parts, plus the poles brace the folding side walls during storms and also hold a wire shelf. Bed/table in front, bed/table in back, small kitchen, some cabinets. That's it. But hard sided, so "ok" in bear country, tows great, only weighs 1500lb.

Ours has an extra clearance "off road" package, which has been useful a few times for going over curbs in town, and once when we had to back it into the woods down a ditch and between some trees to do a 17 point turn because the road dead-ended. And the LT tires are speed rated for 90 MPH, although I tend to max it out around 70-75.

We don't really bring it down trails, we're more the base camp kind of campers. I want to leave it in a paid state park or KOA or such so that it'll probably be there when we get back.

In the old days before kid we'd stay in the back of the full-sized pickup under an insulated cap with screen windows, and could go anywhere.

Checkout the Lance 1475...4 seasons and a separate bathroom. My wife & I are old and a full bathroom is mandatory. Also, Forest River Wolf Pups are nice and check out the Geo Pros. And, of course, the Casita's are nice & built to last.
