Yea that’s why I’m doing it during the week.I'll be doing the Jeepers Jamboree from Aug 2 - 4. Are you going with that group or separate? If separate, check with the county to see when it is open to the public. I believe the organization gets a 'parade permit' for exclusive use during this event.
Cool - have a great time! Definitely get a group going - you won't want to tackle that one soloYea that’s why I’m doing it during the week.
Sorry, was this msg directed at me? I'll be with my 2 daughters. I'll be heading up Thursday but I have no idea what time due to work. We'll be staying in Placerville Thurs night and hitting the trail early Friday morning. Would be happy to do the trail with you - we can use each other as photographers to prove we did itI’ll be there as well for the Jeepers Jamboree on Aug 2nd with my son. It will be the first time running that trail. If you don’t mind me tagging along I would appreciate. None of my friends could make it this year.
Just go to the trailhead, check in and go home. In 4-19 weeks you can show us your undamaged rig with cool badge and we’ll all believe you. Seems to work on the forums anywaysIf you don’t post it then it never happened. Guess I’ll have to geotag, take lots of pics and get 2 witnesses and a notary for my Rubicon trip.
I need to get better at pushing the record button on my camera. You can ask @KevinM60 we got so into the trail we would forget to record.Just go to the trailhead, check in and go home. I’m the opposite, I usually forget to push stop and end up with 11 hours of footage on a 6 hour trail. Then I get to cut it down to 20 minutes so people won’t get boredI need to get better at pushing the record button on my camera. I used to turn mine off on the down time but would always forget to turn it back on so I plugged it into the dash power and leave it on, That's the only way I can capture it all and I've learned how to cut the down time pretty quickly and speed up the rest.I’m the opposite, I usually forget to push stop and end up with 11 hours of footage on a 6 hour trail.
