I bought my 392 on Monday and removed the front bumper extensions last night to fit some monster wheels/ tires. There is exposed wiring on the backside of the bumper now. Is there a part you guys use to cover the backside of the bumper or do you guys leave it open to the elements?
Thanks in advance.

I took my bumper ends off immediately when I got mine in August. Six months (and half a Colorado winter) down the road, I haven't seen any problems with the exposed wire bits. That said, @commandojk13 was offering a product to cover these, and if he still does, I might reconsider. Looked like a well-done product.

There are a few companies that sell filler plates, but the wires were always exposed to the elements. Removing the end caps make them more visible, but they were never covered. The filler plates are cosmetic only. We've run without the end caps on both JLs we've owned for more than 70k miles without issue.

Same as @ColoradoMike … mine have been off for close to 2 years in CO and had no issues. I’m guessing the filler plates are for people with OCD and/or don’t wheel their Jeeps. I’ve never even considered it would be a potential problem.

I got covers from some dude here. He was selling them either in this section or the suspension classifieds. Forgot username though.

EDIT: found username in my message history…
