I just installed the EAG spare relocation kit to move my 38" Patagonia up (incidentally I think the EAG stuff is the same as what Extreme Terrain brands as Redrock).
I'm still running stock Rubi alloys so backspacing didn't change but the relocation kit pushes the spare away from the tailgate a bit, meaning the sidewall doesn't hit the rubber snubbers any longer.
I pulled the snubbers out and if you cut off the tit a hole appears, perfect for a 5/16" bolt. I happened to have a bag of 5/16" trailer decking screws (pic) and they drop into the snubbers perfectly, although any FHCS would work
I figured I needed about 1/2" spacer so I chucked up some aluminum solid stock and parted it about 1/2" thickness. I actually tapped the center hole 5/16-18 so it threads onto the screw, then I used a nyloc nut in the tailgate.
I was in a hurry last night and didn't get any good pics in process, but it's pretty damn simple anyhow - a disc with a threaded center hole LOL
