Just as a fyi if anyone else is thinking about ordering the Rough Country bracket. They have re-engineered it slightly so it is no longer a 2 1/2" rise. They are now closer to a 5" rise.

If you look at their site the overview still shows 2 but the features shows 5.

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up to make sure you dont make the same mistake i made.

That’s odd. Why would they do that? I think mine is arriving tomorrow, hopefully it looks good and not too out of place. I have 35” tires mounted on stock wheels.

Same thing happened to me, my 37 had like a 6" gap between the spare and the bumper, it was silly.

Annoying that I didnt notice until it was installed. I since just went with another brand.

Whether it was the intent or not, it is the only bracket that didn't make my sensors go crazy with my 37 inch spare tire. If I had to guess, I would guess it was an attempt to solve that issue.

This was the exact reason we changed it. 9in wide wheels with a -12 offset and 10in wide wheels would make the sensors go off even with a 35in tire.

I would suggest calling out that the bracket works with the sensors. It is the first bracket I have found that does. With 37 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, it looks fine on mine. It sits about an inch higher at the bottom of the tire than stock but taping a simple one inch foam block to the bottom of the tire sets off the sensors. While not scientific, my bet based on the outcome of that test is that if I lowered the tire an inch the sensor would go off.

Weird, i am using the stock position on my 17x9 -12 37x12.5 wheel with a 1/2" spacer to clear the rear bumper

I have zero issues with the backup sensor somehow. I ended up returning the Rough country bracket cause it was just too high for my needs and was able to get the 37 to fit the oem carrier position

Also, here are some pictures of the redesigned bracker fitted with the spare

How did you get your 37s to fit the OEM position?

I had the RC bracket and took it off after the first time I closed the tailgate. It moved it waaaay too far up...over 4 or 5 inches. Even putting on new bump stops, the stress I saw on the tailgate when I shut it, even easy, was too much and I thought over time would be worse.

I have the old one that doesn’t have so much of a rise of anybody wants to buy it. Let me know what you’ll pay and I’ll check shipping cost. Or local p/u in Indianapolis.
