I’ve been tracking down a very light clunking sound that I can only hear when I have the windows down etc. when I’m driving. I’ve narrowed it down to my driver side rock krawler quick disconnect. Removed it completely and sound goes away. Placing it back on and rocking the jeep and can here it clacking.
I had the X factor installed at the shop (about 9 months ago) as I wanted it done by professionals. This started happening about two months back. I have greased and followed all maintenance this far.
If anyone has this installed can they check theirs? Is the bolt supposed to be tightened all the way so that the bottom joint is against the pin. I have a tiny bit of space there and just wondering if that is the cause of this noise.
Picture attached (and yes I accidentally snapped the zerk but that is a fix for another day)
