Thanks to you all for the recommendations in my last thread. Ended up going with HF’s Roadshock Edge 6. Seems like an awesome LP6 clone, and I guess we will see how reliable they hold up given HF’s hidden gem or total shit nature.

My question now is with the wiring. It comes with a harness that looks identical to the BD 640172 harness: ends for the lights -> relay -> switch/backlight wire/battery terminals.

I don’t want to run a switch into the interior. Could I cut the wires from the switch and wire them to aux 1 for low beam and aux 2 for high beam? If so, what do I do with black ground wire from the switch?

Here is a diagram for the harness and I’ve attached a picture of the wires from the switch close up.

I’m curious if wiring to two different AUX switches would work too

Yes, you can wire them to 2 different Aux switches and just run the ground to the ground post between the fender and motor. Make sure you cut off the relay and any fuses and just use the 3 wires that you are needing. I ran my LP6s this way but ran "remember last state" on Aux to the backlight, skipped the low beam and ran the high to an Aux that doesn't "remember last state". I didn't see a need for the low beam.

I’m looking to keep the low beams as well. I’m debating running the running lights all the time along with the marker lights.

It seems you shouldn't run power to the low beam circuit and the high beam circuit at the same time.

This means you either have to remember to turn off the low before turning on the high. Or use a 5 way relay to turn off the low as the high is energized.

I went the 5 way relay route.

I wired the low circuit to one switch on my VOswitch and the high circuit to another switch.

Four possible states.

That’s what I was able to gather as well. The harness looks like it already comes with the 5 way relay( https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/59000-59999/59105-193175454942.pdf), I just need to know if I can just cut the harness switch off and and plug those wires into 2 aux switches for low and high. And what to do with the ground wire that was going into the switch. How is it related to the ground that is going to the negative battery terminal on the harness. I’m new to this electrical stuff.

I grounded the lights using the small bolt on each light bracket. Right at the pig tail.

I didn't use the HF working harness so can't comment on the specifics of it without a wiring diagram.
