Hello everyone,

I'm running the RIPP coil packs with NGK iridium spark plugs, and it's been a really bad experience, on 2000-3000 RPM the car would start misfiring and sometimes the car would start ("jumping" I don't know how to explain it) I am open to any suggestions. should I go back to the OEM coils and spark plugs or change the spark plugs to OEM and keep the RIPP coils?

I had a check engine with "ignition coil D" code: P2311, i talked to RIPP they sent me a new one but the code is still there and the problem is still there

also, my Jeep is tuned but I don't think it is a good tune honestly, could the tune affect the coils?

Your Knowledge would be very appreciated,
Thank you in advance.

Running a Magnuson supercharger with stock coil packs and NGK plugs and they aren't giving me any trouble.

My buddy had those ripp coil packs and had nothing but problems with them. He went back to stock and all was good.

There is nothing wrong with the OE coils. Use them.

Everybody learned a long time ago that some of the best coil packs are...actually OEM coil packs. This has been proven over and over through the years. Unless the factory coil is going bad then sure an aftermarket pack will improve things but if you plopped a new OEM coil pack in its place instead then you would notice the exact same performance gains.

Now then having said that if you have some crazy race engine build where you have the plugs gapped out to twice or more the OE spec and have a triple stage nitrous system that uses a pair of 15lb bottles up every time you run it down the track then sure you probably need more than whatever the OEM provided.

Your stock or even stockish engine doesn't fit that category or even come close so stick to the OEM stuff and be happy.
