Anyone else notice this where the reverse park assist lines will not show, randomly, even when the setting it turned on?

I cant say how many times for sure, but at least 5 - 10 times in the year I've owned the '18 Rubicon I'll throw it in reverse to find the park assist lines are not showing.... Somtimes during the same trip I can throw it in reverse and they will show.

They didn’t come back? Did you accidentally turn them off?

It’s happened with n mine a couple times. Push the power and tune buttons down together for about 10-20 seconds to reboot the system with the Jeep on. Should fix it. There’s supposed to be a software update soon that’s supposed to fix it.

That is only a temp fix. The disappearing lines will soon come back.

This seems to be a recurring problem (hence, many threads on this topic), it happened to me yesterday and this morning. I saw somewhere that Uconnect will be sending out a "fix" at some point in the next couple of months. I know if you need them back, just pull over, turn Jeep off, and it will automatically reset. Sounds like a software glitch in the Uconnect system. Pain in the ass if you ask me.

This is a new one. I’ll try this next time it happens. Where did you hear about an OTA update to fix this? It’s been a problem since 2018.

Not really—the reset. It takes a while (I usually park it for an hour or so) for them to comeback.

I was having the issue and searched through some threads. I saw that Jeep Cares mentioned a software fix update coming soon.

Ok, I tried this reset method. Doesn’t work, doesn’t cause a reboot. Counted to 30, and nothing. Not as reliable as the Contra code. Are you sure about that method? In over three years with my JL and watching this forum I have never seen anyone post this procedure. Where did you hear about it?

This is from a previous post somewhere in this forum:

No, you cannot force a Uconnect update. Yes, you can force a Uconnect Radio reboot (fuse pull) which more often then not will bring the lines right back.

If you do nothing, you will find that after a few restarts / a day lets say, the lines will reappear on their own.

DO, when you start your JL, give Uconnect a chance to boot up. Start the JL, and then sit there for say 15 seconds, in Park or Neutral before placing the JL in reverse. This in itself is probably good to do anyway.

Many have found that doing as I mention, curtails the lost line thing...

.
Thanks! I can confirm a fuse pull (F97 - Radio/TBM) reset works on the Sahara model, just did it with success. You will have to redo some of your basic user preferences like audio settings, and Uconnect theme, etc. And importantly, DO NOT PANIC, you might not see even see options for the camera for the first few minutes of starting the car, give it time to reset fully.

One thing I noticed this morning when it started was that I didn't get the "accept" prompt to use Uconnect, and then no backup lines, no matter what settings I changed. After the reset, it's back asking me to "accept" with my backup lines at all.
