Replacement key fob shell - Smaller

Good morning all,

Does anyone know other places that do replacement shells for the JL? I know Threedom is huge, but unfortunately, they stopped taking orders for the time being, and this key fob is driving me nuts.

I have a 3D printer and I tried 3D printing a temporary one, and the design seems good, but I accidentally flipped one of the internals and it won't work, so I gotta reprint it when I get home.

I was just unsure if anyone else was a big player in the "smaller key fob replacement shell" game

I cannot lie I like big fobs…….
Much easier to find when I drop them in places where they’re not supposed to be like between the seats behind the couch etc

Since I don't have remote anything or proximity locks, I really hate the giant fob. I got a chip holder for the chip and put it and the physical key itself on a key ring. Yes, I have to push the start button with the chip holder, but my Jeep is more secure than most.

I made my self using parts and display from china. Some folks here hated that brcause 'its not made in the USA". Im in and from Slovakia and realy dont care Im using parts form all over the world and from all cars if I like them.

I like those, but can't tell if it's thinner or thicker than factory...probably thicker since the key is in the back?

I like the S+ with the American flag, said has built in slider whatever that is? 10% is not much smaller, but dang this keb fob is f'in huge and heavy in my pocket! Plus the dang flip out key opens and stabs me in the leg sometimes lol.

Does anyone know if this is a slide key holder or what? I don't want a separate key on a ring.

EDIT: Watching the AJT video and thickness is same maybe tiny bit thinner...I'm liking it! Should be lighter weight too!

For the S+ the built in slider means the key is removed from the oem fob and installed into a slider. So instead of the key working like a switchblade it slides in and out. It is not a separate key on a ring.

Is there a way to get just a key for my JL or does it need a transponder? I have manual door locks, and the fob is ridiculously bigger than what’s necessary.

You must have the chip found in the transponder to work the push button. The fob holds the chip and a signal booster and the battery that powers the booster. Without the signal booster, the chip must be immediately on the button to activate starting. I found a small plastic holder that I have on my key ring with the key itself. No more ridiculously big fob.
