Repining harness connectors

Alright i got a set of LED turn signals but the connector is not on them. I have the boot insulators and the pins as well as the connectors. How much wire should I strip off to re pin them?

Here’s what I’ve done so far

Number three, you only need wire under the crimp section. If you leave it too long it will interfere with the insertion into the connector. the one closest to the strip is to be crimped around the seal and the stripped wire is crimped in the second one.

Have you ever done this? If so what did you use to bend the metal around the wire and boot?

Yes I have added pins to various connectors. To do it properly you will need a factory style crimper, the one that comes in the terminal assortment at the parts store is not going to work. I have this one and it works great. Lots of videos on YouTube on how to crimp connectors.
