Alright guys I wouldn't be asking this if I had been able to find reliable info out there. I have a 2023 2-Door Willys Sport on order and would like to add remote start if possible. If it is an option, I would like to add the OEM system as a Dealer Installed Option sometime after delivery. I would prefer not to go aftermarket for the remote start. Here in Missouri, we get ice primarily as opposed to snow. While I can park in my garage at home, it would be nice to have it for dealing with the ice a few minutes before I get off work. If it is possible, will I also have to have the remote locks and windows installed for it to work? Anyone have firsthand knowledge?

To be honest my factory system is not what I would call amazing. There are some aftermarket systems with much better range. Not really what you are asking but thought I would put that out there. Jeep is about 100 feet from my bedroom and being a diesel I like to start it before work even though only in 40s just the get the min or 3 of warm up. It starts about 50% of the time when I get outside. Very annoying.

I had the two way system on my 4Runner it pinged when it started. Of course I have the mopar app so that is cool, even though it is slow and no intention of paying for it after 1st year is up. App is too poorly made for me to purchase it. If my car was half mile away at work or something might be different because it does start every time with app.

While I would prefer OEM if at all possible due to warranty issues, I am not completely against aftermarket if it is reliable and won't cause a bunch of electrical gremlins.

Right, there are far more knowledge than mine on here. But yeah OEM is integrated in key also so no second piece to the key ring.

That was another factor for me. I have my keys, my work office keys, church keys, and my wife's minivan keys on my key-ring. I have enough fobs and such, ? ?.

If you have UConnect you can remote start your car with your phone via the app; then the range (with the key fob) isn't an issue. That's what I'm trying to have done with my 22 HighTide right now. I'm being told two different things regarding remote start and my vehicle: 1) It needs the remote start module 2) the car already has the module and just needs to be turned on via software. I'll get to the bottom of it soon.
