Remote keyless entry

Bought a used 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport in June. Now almost a half year later it's hard to believe how much I'm missing true keyless entry. I'm looking at the original window sticker which shows as a part of package 24L that this option should be on the truck. However when I look at the actual door handlers there are no little buttons on them. Which to me means there really isn't this option. I just read that Jeep's version of keyless entry is the ability to unlock the doors electronically with a remote. Could this be? If so that sounds like the stupidest thing.

I don't think I'm missing anything here, unless....

Anyone else have this same question/issue?

Do you have the $495 "Remote Proximity Keyless Entry" on your window sticker? Key word being "Proximity"

Second this, just did the install on new 24 and it’s a little labor and some jscan work.

I added it to my 2020 when I had it. It took me about two hours to replace the handles and wiring harnesses inside the doors & to program the Jeep. Great upgrade!!

If your sport has the push button then you should have all the internal antennas you need to do the install. You'll need the mopar set that comes with three handles and the wire harnesses though. If the sport does not have the push button, I don't believe you'll be able to do the install, according to the Mopar rep I spoke with back when I did mine. And you might as well forget about having your local dealership do it.

My 2018 Sport S was missing four wires in the body harness and I had to add them. It’s not too hard if you have a basic understanding of auto wiring. I made the wires and put them in the spaces needed but they are available from Nismopar, although they are ridiculously expensive for what they are.
Overall a most useful mod.

This thread reminds me that some early 2018 sports with manual locks had keyless enter and go listed on the window sticker.
