I have the OEM built in and love it. If you can install it (I do not how hard or complicated it is), but if you can, go for it... Ignore the "IF situations" comments, almost every new vehicle nowadays has it...

I'm not even sure what all of them are?

1. MG something
2. M1- Garand
3. no idea
pistols: Lugers

Red circle: This one really has my attention...?
Not to derail this thread too much further but #3 is a Sturmgewehr 44 (St-44). Germany invented the modern assault rifle (sturmgewher in German) toward the end of WWII but as usual couldn't produce enough of them to make much difference. It did, however, impress the Soviets enough to inspire the development of the AK-47 and the rest is history . . .

And the other pistol that isn't a broomhandle Mauser or a Luger is a Walther p38, which replaced the Luger since it was cheaper to manufacture without the precise tolerances needed for the Luger's toggle lock.

Not that I'm trying to talk you out of the sun visor, it looks very nice but what if you removed the clip from the remote and Velcro it to the visor? This way you can remove it anytime you want, no wires, saves $$. What do you think about that?

I have this same opener. It fits just right in the small space between the cup holders. Works great.

I bought a used Homelink visor off eBay for about $40 and just switched it out. Couple screws and a wiring plug over the driver door behind a trim panel. It’s my understanding that not all Jeeps have the wire already run to the plug, but mine did. I already had a tazer so I just enabled it and it’s been working great, it’s off when the Jeep is off.

It is an easy install. The wiring harness in the roll bar already should have the connector. As was also stated, when the jeep is off the control will not work for the security of folks that have a soft top.

For those saying they wouldn't want it in a vehicle with no top, the factory design is it is deactivated when the engine is off.

OP, to your question I don't think it's too bad. Look up replacing the visor. The only other step is hooking up the wire in the trim.
found a brand new one finely on ebay for 100.00 $ works great pretty easy to install just tie into power to visor light power source . no longer searching for remote
