Redesigned engine mounts on the 2021 3.6.

Today I attempted to install my engine /transmission skid plate that I ran on my 2020. Much to my dismay I discovered that my new 2021 has completely different engine mounts. Needless to say my skid is a no go.
has anyone else encountered this scenario?

Not sure what brand you have, but if they are Metalcloak, you should give them a call because I’m sure they can help. They have new arms for their skids for the 2021s...

If I remember right, I was told that the 2021s use the same motor mounts as the Gladiators.

Just looked. Too bad they won't sell just the engine skid. But its cool that they cover every different variant of the JL these days. That is more than other manufacturers.

The 2021 wranglers now use hydraulic motor mounts

Update.
I received a set of updated mounting brackets from Asfir. They bolted right up. The only thing I’ll have to do is drill 2 new mounting holes in the skid. The updated brackets mount further back on the frame. No big deal.
im very pleased to have my engine and transmission protection back.

do you have auto or manual? I am waiting to see if those same updated mounting brackets will work with the manual transmission as well, but the motor mounts look the same as yours.

I have a manual. If your Jeep didn’t come with the oem transmission skid aka crossmember you will need to get that in order to run the Asfir skid. My previous 2020 sport didn’t come with it so I had to find one. My 21 Rubicon came with the factory skid.

I thought that was 6.4 v8 Specific, but glad they trying to improve NVH. Hydraulic motor mount definitely smooth out vibration.

Are the nuts welded to the motor mount bracket? I'm trying to install the Next Venture 7000 skid on my 2025 3.6L and couldn't get the nuts to move with a 1/2" impact.

Yes, have to remove the bolts from the top.
