Here you go. I love the color. I do not like that it is metallic and sparkles when the sun hits it. I didn't have many to choose from at the parts store. You can order on line about any color. I will do that next time.Pic?
where did you have it painted?I posted this in the Mojito thread but figured I’d post it here too.
Had mine painted to match and absolutely love it.

Any auto body shop should be able to do it for you. They may ask you to remove the pieces and drop them off so they don’t take the responsibility of breaking anything.where did you have it painted?
BIG thank you to Code IV for these directions! I just swapped my silver trim panels for red using these steps and everything was spot on.***********SAFETY NOTE************** DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND LET SIT FOR 30 MINS BEFORE YOU PULL THE AIRBAG*******
You need to pop off (has clips only) the AC controls bezel. Unplug the AC controls and starter button. The remove the radio bezel (Again clips only). Next remove the top dash pad. This has several clips and one screw that is hidden under the radio bezel. Now the fun part. Remove all the top screws on the driver's side dash (Red piece). The pry off slowly (Clips on the bottom). The passenger side is harder. Remove the top screws. Under the bezel is the SRS Airbag trim piece. You will need to remove that (3 clips) and cut the zip tie. Now remove the two screws that are under that trim piece. Open and drop the glove box. Look up and you will find two bolts (see picture) Those are for the airbag. (the airbag will come out with the dash panel. (The red thing you want painted). Remove the two bolts. Once you remove the bolts, pull the airbag and dash bezel towards you. from under the dash, you will now see a yellow plug. Unplug that plug and you are done!
You're welcome! Glad it worked out for ya!BIG thank you to Code IV for these directions! I just swapped my silver trim panels for red using these steps and everything was spot on.
Thanks again!!
If they're the same as the silver/gray that originally came in my Sport S, I have both pieces. P.M. me if interested.Anyone replace the RED Rubi dash parts with Sahara GREY ones? MOPAR part numbers please!
Sahara has the leather dash, not the grey. Grey is standard on the sports and certain colors (mojito, punkn).Anyone replace the RED Rubi dash parts with Sahara GREY ones? MOPAR part numbers please!
ME EITHER!!! Trying to find the instrument cluster too!!!! I want to remove the RUBI dash parts. Need the partner for 6AB27SD5AD.I think these are the current part numbers:
2018 Jeep Wrangler>Body>Instrument Panel>Item Number 5
6AC261A3AB - Air Bag Door W/ LEATHER
6AB28SRRAD - Air Bag Door W/ O LEATHER, RED
6AB27SD5AD - Air Bag Door W/ O LEATHER, GRAY
I can't seem to find the part number for the instrument cluster side though...
I doubt anyone would know for sure unless they had one deploy. I was involved in airbag development for a commercial vehicle years ago and crazy stuff can happen at the velocity the bags deploy. I would hate for a piece of vinyl to hit an eye or cause a laceration. To be safe I want to install the OEM components rather than paint them either.Anybody know if the vinyl wrap might cause a problem with the passenger airbag if deployed in an accident?
