Recommendation for rear hardtop storage??

Looks like Hooke Road is building a close knock off of a Top Lift Pro. Friend of mine ordered one of Amazon for $650 or so.

Outstanding. $679 shipped vs ~$1200
Still too expensive for what it is, but a much better value. Getting closer to that magic $499 figure.

I didnt have room to store the cart/roof while off and wanted it up out of the way since I have a 9ft garage roof. Didnt like any of the 'cheap' systems you can buy and the DIY seems like details were left out. So I came up with my own system. It is simple, mostly automatic, one person operation and CHEAP. Let me know if you have interest and I will post some pics.

I also have low garage ceiling and would be interested to know what you came up with…
