I have been looking to buy a jeep wrangler with manual transmission. I learned about the clutch recall 19A on the JL model. I would be interested to hear from anyone in this forem who owns a wrangler JL if they would purchase one again had they know about the recall. How serious of a problem do you really think it is, and does it affect resell value?

I am not getting 19a done and put in an ACT clutch. Best upgrade I’ve done.

As someone who just bought a 21 JLR that hasn't had the (latest) recall done vs continue waiting for the 24 6MT Willys I ordered back in June...The recall doesn't matter to me at all and the more I found out about the "recall fix" the more I dislike it. People are running into problems with the fix especially if they are lifted and running larger tires. Since I plan to add a lift and larger tires down the road I decided that maybe the fix isn't a great idea for me.

If you want to buy a stock Wrangler and keep it stock the recall fix will work out fine for you.
